The much anticipated Mac Studio and Studio display became available in the wild on Friday 18th March 2022, but if you wanted it in your hands today you may have to think again. If you missed the pre-order period you may unfortunately have a wait on your hands, available stock is scarce with many retailers being out of stock, and Apple themselves quoting a few months waiting time for your Apple Silicon fix.
But why? It looks to be down to a number of ongoing issues in Apple’s supply chain, actual demand for the new product and the global chip shortage, not to mention some factories that make components just suffered a short period lockdown for COVID-19 again. It’s a challenging time for big tech supply and demand costing the companies billions.
Here’s everywhere that I found that stocks the Apple Mac Studio and Studio Display in the UK (some with great deals) and what I know on stock levels so far. I’ll attempt to keep this list updated as and when new information becomes available.

Apple of course are offering all configuration options for all Mac Studio products, however will have to come with patience as the vast majority are on back order.

Offer finance through Barclays for up to 36 Months at 14.9% APR or through PayPal credit for up to 24 months at 14.9% APR.
Stock
All stock appears to be on backorder (8-10 Weeks), on launch day they did have collection on the day at stores for some Mac Studio monitors and M1 Max Mac Studios with default configurations. It may be worth checking as stores may get some stock available in some cases, however during checkout you’re able to check at the time with in store stock levels.
KRCS – Apple Premium Reseller
KRCS are offering all configuration options for both the Mac Studio and Studio Display matching what Apple are offering direct.

Finance
12 Month 0% APR finance through Klarna. They also offer an Easy Upgrade finance option for certain products to allow you to pay in instalments, return the device and upgrade at the end of the term or pay off the remaining balance (with APR) to keep the device.
Stock
At the time of writing this, there is no physical stock for anything Mac Studio and everything is on back order. Showing estimated delivery at the time of writing this from Mid May to Mid June.
John Lewis
John Lewis have separate listings for all Studio display options and only appear to be stocking one configuration each of the M1 Max Studio and M1 Ultra Mac Studio.

Currently offering 0% APR finance for up to 36 Months to spread the cost. Currently the best finance offering seen so far out of other retailers.
Stock
On launch day John Lewis only made around 12 Studio Monitors (Tilt Adjustable, Standard Glass version) available for sale online and they quickly sold out. They Periodically have stock showing in various stores however there is only ever 1 in stock across different stores (can not be reserved), which could be a stock count issue so take with a pinch of salt.
On launch no versions of the Mac Studio M1 Max or M1 Ultra were available. One customer service representative (through Live Chat) confirmed there were 100 units of Studio Displays on order and coming in stock within the next 2 weeks, and 300 units of the M1 Ultra being delivered launch day but will come in stock within 2 weeks due to quality assurance. Contacting them through Twitter a different story emerges of not knowing when any will become available due to Apple not providing delivery dates. No configurations of the Mac Studios have shown in stock across any stores. The entire Mac Studio launch offering is out of stock online and has been since launch, with the ability to sign up to be notified when back in stock recently being added.
AO
AO only appear to be stocking one configuration each of the M1 Max Studio and M1 Ultra Mac Studio, all versions of the studio displays are listed but not currently in stock.

Offering instalment plans for up to 4 years (representative is personalised for each individual) or Flexible Credit at 19.9% APR. They do sometimes offer 0% promotional Finance on Apple products, but doubt they will offer this on the Mac Studio due to the purchase value.
Stock
On launch day they had a number of M1 Max Studios available for order for next day delivery but by the end of launch day they were out of stock. M1 Ultra were available for pre-order a few days before launch day but then have been out of stock since. Both are now out of stock with the option to notify when they come back in stock. When talking to an AO customer service representative they were unable to provide quantities on order or when they would return back in stock.
iStore – Apple Premium Reseller
iStore only appear to be stocking one configuration each of the M1 Max Studio and M1 Ultra Mac Studio, however have all configuration options for the Mac Studio Display.

Offering finance up to 4 years for 9.90% APR through Klarna, there is a maximum transaction amount it will let you finance so keep this in mind.
Stock
Currently all are on backorder but showing times of estimated delivery between 2 – 4 weeks for Studio Monitors and nothing showing other than launch day shipping for the Mac Studio. There may be in store stock however you need to call the store to find out this, chances are they may not have any based on other retailers stock levels.
Argos
Argos only appear to be stocking one configuration each of the M1 Max Studio and M1 Ultra Mac Studio, they are only stocking 1 version of the Studio Display which is currently out of stock.

Argos have no stock anywhere in the UK currently and are not confirming quantities on order or when they’ll be available.
Currys
Currys only appear to be stocking one configuration each of the M1 Max Studio and M1 Ultra Mac Studio, however have some configuration options for the Mac Studio Display.

Stock
No store stock at the moment on any of the Mac Studio offerings, and online listings are out of stock currently with the option of being notified when these come back in stock. When talking with a customer representative they were unable to give order quantities or an estimated date of when they would come back in stock.
Conclusion
This is not a fully extensive list of places to purchase the Mac Studio, but hopefully this list can help you make a decision on which will get you the new Apple Silicon the quickest with the ongoing stock issues.
