in

If you’ve missed the deadline to upgrade, there is no need to panic!

Google Analytics have launched a new version which they are calling ‘Google Analytics 4’ (GA4 in short-form), it’s the future of Google Analytics! As a result of the upgrade, the old Universal Analytics will stop processing data on the 1st of July 2023.

What happens if you don’t upgrade?

If you don’t upgrade to GA4, your Universal Analytics property will stop processing new data on July 1, 2023. This means that you will no longer be able to collect new data in your Universal Analytics property. You will also be unable to create new reports or dashboards in Universal Analytics. You will still be able to access your historical data in Universal Analytics until July 1, 2024. However, after that date, your historical data will be deleted.

As you can tell it’s in your best interest to upgrade to avoid gaps in your valuable website insights and to get access to array of new benefits in GA4.

What’s new in Google Analytics 4?

There’s so many new and exciting features with the new version, however here’s a brief run-down:

  • New features and capabilities: GA4 offers a number of new features and capabilities, such as cross-platform tracking, predictive analytics, and enhanced user privacy.
  • Improved data accuracy: GA4 uses a new data model that is designed to provide more accurate and reliable data.
  • Increased flexibility: GA4 is more flexible than Universal Analytics, making it easier to customise your reports and dashboards.
  • Enhanced security: GA4 offers enhanced security features, such as data encryption and user privacy controls.
